Dookki Jjolbokki (Spicy Rice Cakes with Chewy Noodles)


The founder of Dookki visited about 3,000 popular tteokbokki restaurants across Korea to create this ultimate recipe. Dookki, which literally means “two meals” in Korean, offers jjolpokki for the first meal and fried rice for the second meal. To make your own, first eat the jjolpokki, and once you are done, add rice and vegetables of your choice. The savory essence leftover from the first meal will work its wonders for the fried rice.

This product does not include any vegetables. Add vegetables of your choice to suit your palate.

  • STEP 1 Prepare

    Prepare vegetables or boiled eggs according to your preference.

  • STEP 2 Combine Ingredients

    Bring a pot of roughly 10oz (300ml) of water to a boil. Add the rice cakes, noodles, and the sauce.

  • STEP 3 Stir-fry

    Cook over high heat about 5 to 6 minutes and enjoy.

  • STEP 4 Let Sit and Serve

    Topokki tastes even better if you let it sit at room temperature for 2 minutes.
