Dad's Batter-Fried Dishes, Daughter's Tteokbokki

Since 1972, Addal has sought to serve the best twigim (batter-fried) dishes around, starting as an unnamed small business at the heart of U.S. military bases in Paju, Gyeonggi Province. To feed the appetite of our supportive customers, we expanded to offer tteokbokki, bringing foreigners and locals alike to share meals under one roof. Reporters dubbed our venue “Addal,” a combination of the Korean word for father—“appa”—and daughter—“ddal”—in reference to our family business model, where dad cooked the fried dishes and daughter made the tteokbokki. We are now known across the country as a family brand whose great taste trumps traditional flavor profiles, and daughter still runs the restaurant, focusing on crafting the best tasting tteokbokki around.

This product does not include any vegetables. Add vegetables as desired to suit your palate.

  • STEP 1 Add Ingredients

    Add 34oz (1000ml) of water to a large pot and stir in the sauce. Boil to a boil over high heat.

  • STEP 2 Boil and Serve

    Add 5 frozen fish cakes to the boiling broth for 3 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
