Calo bowl reduces the carbohydrates and calories in white rice by up to 45% for a serving. Calo bowl was developed out of the inconvenience experienced by a father with severe diabetes who had to manage his low-sugar diet. This instant low-sugar rice cooker was created through collaboration between father and daughter, from planning to manufacturing.

The biggest issue with rice is its high carbohydrate content. When we consume more carbohydrates than our bodies can use for energy, the excess is stored as body fat, leading to various health issues. Calo bowl uses the high-temperature steam generated during microwave cooking to circulate and separate carbohydrates, allowing you to prepare low-sugar rice with reduced carbohydrate content.

Just place it in the microwave, and in 12 minutes, delicious rice is ready. Calo bowl is a safe product that does not contain bisphenol A (BPA) even after 12 minutes of heating in the microwave. It has been tested and certified safe by SGS, an internationally recognized inspection organization based in Switzerland, showing it is BPA-free and does not contain heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, arsenic, or mercury.

Calo bowl can cook up to 4 servings (400g) at a time.

The carbohydrates we eat daily, especially our beloved white rice, how can we enjoy it in the most convenient way while reducing its carbohydrate calories? After years of research, we patented a unique technology for Korea's only microwaveable low-sugar rice cooker, Calo Bowl.

Recipe

  • STEP 1 Use rice that has been soaked for more than 20 minutes.

    Place the rice in the inner pot tray and soak for more than 20 minutes (for white rice; for brown rice or mixed grains, soak for at least 6 to 24 hours)

  • STEP 2 The amount of water

    Add water up to a height of 0.3 cm above the soaked rice.

  • STEP 3 Cook in a microwave

    Cover the inner pot with the lid, then snap the outer pot lid until you hear a click. Microwave for 12 minutes (based on 700–1000W)

  • STEP 4 Resting

    Cover the lid and let it rest for 3 to 5 minutes to complete the delicious rice.
