FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What electrical setup does HAUSCOOK require?
HAUSCOOK operates on 110–120V AC with a rated power consumption of 1,700W (1.7kW). No 220V high-voltage connection is required for the U.S. model. Because this is a high-power commercial appliance, confirm that the outlet, circuit, and electrical protection can safely support the load before installation. At 120V, the rated load is approximately 14.2A; at 110V, it is approximately 15.5A. Consult a qualified electrician if you are unsure about circuit capacity or local requirements.
Do I need a professional plumber to install this?
Not necessarily. HAUSCOOK can be set up with a direct water line or a compatible external water pump. A direct connection can use an appropriate existing water supply line, while the external pump option can draw from a separate water container. Whether professional plumbing work is needed depends on your site and applicable local plumbing requirements. Our U.S. team can help you review your counter setup before purchase.
Can HAUSCOOK operate without a direct water connection?
Yes. If a direct water line is unavailable, HAUSCOOK can operate with a compatible external water pump drawing from a water jug or other approved supply container. The pump is an optional accessory sold separately. For continuous service, make sure the water container has an adequate supply and the pump is correctly installed.
Do I need to use special cooking containers with HAUSCOOK?
HAUSCOOK works with compatible induction-ready cookware, including suitable standard induction pots and containers. You are not limited to HAUSCOOK paper bowls.

However, for commercial foodservice operations, HAUSCOOK-compatible paper cooking bowls offer a more efficient and convenient solution. Customers can cook and enjoy their meals directly from the same bowl, without transferring food to separate serving containers. Disposable paper bowls also help reduce dishwashing, cleanup time, and staff workload—especially useful for convenience stores, cafés, self-service ramen stations, and other busy businesses.

The $849 Starter Kit includes 300 HAUSCOOK-compatible paper cooking bowls, and additional compatible bowls are available for ongoing operations.

For safe, consistent performance, always use compatible induction-ready cookware or approved HAUSCOOK paper cooking bowls. Ordinary paper bowls are not suitable unless specifically designed and approved for induction cooking.
How easy is HAUSCOOK to clean and maintain?
HAUSCOOK is designed for straightforward daily cleaning in commercial settings. Allow the cooking surface to cool, wipe accessible areas according to the manufacturer's instructions, and periodically inspect the water supply, filter, and external pump (if installed). Follow the manufacturer's cleaning and maintenance guidance; never immerse the appliance or use cleaning methods not approved for the unit. Our U.S. support team can assist with maintenance questions.
Can HAUSCOOK handle back-to-back orders during busy hours without running out of hot water?
Yes. HAUSCOOK is designed for continuous commercial cooking. Its system maintains hot water at approximately 80–90°C (176–194°F) and supports automatic water replenishment for consecutive cooking cycles, so staff do not need to manually refill a separate hot-water tank between every order. Three programmable one-touch presets (M1, M2, and M3) help keep water quantities and cooking times consistent. Actual dispensing and cooking performance depend on adequate water supply, correct installation, and operating conditions.
Why does HAUSCOOK use physical buttons instead of touchscreens or barcodes?
HAUSCOOK uses three programmable physical one-touch buttons (M1, M2, and M3) to keep operation simple and repeatable. Staff can start a saved cooking program without navigating touchscreen menus or scanning a barcode. The cooking controls do not require Wi-Fi, which makes day-to-day operation less dependent on network connectivity. This straightforward interface is especially useful for quick-service locations and self-service counters.
Where is HAUSCOOK made, and what makes its induction technology different?
HAUSCOOK is made in South Korea by Bumil Industrial (범일산업), a manufacturer established in 1980 with more than four decades of experience in heating components and thermal engineering. Building on its experience developing induction-heating (IH) work coils since 2010, Bumil developed its own high-efficiency induction coil technology for HAUSCOOK. This engineering background supports the appliance's compact commercial design, responsive heating, and repeatable one-touch cooking performance.
What does the 1-year commercial warranty cover?
HAUSCOOK includes a 1-year U.S. commercial warranty with support from its U.S.-based team. If a covered hardware issue occurs during the warranty period, the team can assist with troubleshooting and determine whether the issue qualifies for an advance replacement unit under the applicable warranty terms. Coverage, exclusions, eligibility, and shipping or replacement procedures are subject to the warranty policy; contact us for the full terms.
