Chai Masala

If you think chai is just a tea bag from the coffee shop, prepare to be amazed. Chef Meherwan built this blend on memories of Indian street chai (bold, spicy, with ginger and cardamom taking center stage), not the cinnamon-heavy versions you might be used to.

To brew for two: In a saucepot, combine 1 cup whole milk & 1 cup water. Bring to a low simmer. Add 1/2 tsp Chai Masala blend & 2 tsp black tea leaves (or 2 black tea bags). Simmer for 3 minutes, strain, & sweeten to taste. Enjoy!
